The Cracked Pepper Stick includes quarter-cracked black peppercorns that we searched out specially for these sticks. Combined with traditional coarse ground pepper, they deliver big pepper flavor.

The BBQ Stick combines barbecue key ingredients molasses, tamarind and brown sugar, along with a bit of hot pepper heat. The result for you is portable BBQ satisfaction !

• Made with beef or beef and pork grown without antibiotics and never fed animal byproducts.
• No sodium nitrite added.
• No nitrites or nitrates added except for those found naturally occurring in celery juice and sea salt.
• No gluten, no nuts, no milk.
• No MSG, no artificial colors, flavors or smoke. No joke!

We buy the natural beef from Wolfe's Neck Farm (also called Pineland Farms), a company based in Maine that purchases many of the beef raised in Vermont each year -- so many that they create enough of an upward pressure on the prices at the statewide spring and fall beef sale auction that some other buyers grumble about them -- but better prices are what makes the beef producers happy! The pork is from another Whole Foods-approved supplier, but not from within New England.

HANDLING
Shelf stable between 32F and 80F for up to six months. Also keep out of direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening.

HOW TO OPEN
Look for the "smooth" looking corner, the one without the grid texture in the plastic. Separate the loose peel corner ends and pull -- the pieces will pull apart easily.
